Whether I’m planning a full-on city trip or just want to squeeze in a cool experience on a weekend getaway, I always make sure one app is downloaded on my phone: GetYourGuide. It’s my go-to for booking all kinds of activities, from museum tickets and food tours to once-in-a-lifetime experiences like climbing famous landmarks or exploring hidden gems with a local guide.
Not only is it super easy to use, but as a GetYourGuide Creator, I can now share something even better with you:

If you love planning unique adventures, saving time, and traveling smarter – trust me, this app needs to be on your phone.
What Is GetYourGuide (And Why It’s Worth Downloading)
GetYourGuide is a travel app that lets you discover and book experiences around the world. Think guided walking tours, skip-the-line museum entries, cooking classes, day trips, boat rides, you name it.
I first started using it because I hated the stress of showing up to attractions and finding long lines, sold-out tickets, or confusing entry rules. With GetYourGuide, everything is clear, mobile-friendly, and fully bookable ahead of time (even last minute!).
Here’s why I personally love it:
- ✅ Real reviews from other travelers
- ✅ Mobile tickets (no printing!)
- ✅ Free cancellation up to 24 hours before for most experiences
- ✅ Instant confirmation for most bookings
- ✅ You can find activities that match your vibe; history, nature, food, slow travel, etc.
Whether you’re a chill planner or a spontaneous explorer, GetYourGuide makes it super easy to make the most of your trip.
My Favorite Activities on GetYourGuide (That I’ve Tried or Totally Recommend)
If you’re wondering what kind of experiences you can actually book on GetYourGuide, here’s a mix of tried-and-loved adventures and ones I highly recommend (and have written about!). Some I booked through the app, others I experienced independently, but are available now on GetYourGuide, so you can enjoy them stress-free and save 5% while you’re at it.
Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station
This one I did book via the app on my latest trip to London, and it was such a cool experience! You literally take a lift up inside one of the iconic chimneys of Battersea Power Station for panoramic views over London. A bit niche, but so unique and not many tourists know about it yet.

Houses of Parliament + Free Audio Tour
I didn’t expect to love this one (not usually into British politics), but I was pleasantly surprised! My brother wanted to visit during our London trip in April, and honestly – it was fascinating. The free audio tour is a must; it walks you through the different parts of the building, their purpose, and even throws in some fun facts about the UK government.

Tower of London
Step into royal history with this iconic attraction. You can choose between a self-guided visit or a guided tour with a real Beefeater!

Edinburgh Castle
You can’t go to Edinburgh and skip this one. Perched high on Castle Rock, this landmark dominates the city skyline, and for good reason. It’s one of the most iconic and most visited attractions in Scotland. You’ll get sweeping views of the city, learn about Scotland’s royal history, see the Crown Jewels, and even visit the Stone of Destiny (used in royal coronations!). Don’t skip the One O’Clock Gun if you’re there at midday. This place isn’t just a pretty postcard, it’s packed with powerful history and unforgettable moments!

Palace of Holyroodhouse
One of my favorite royal sites! The official residence of the British monarch in Scotland still to this day. The gardens, the palace interiors, and the audio guide included with the ticket were all amazing.
