Every batch is freshly baked in-house, often right in front of your eyes, filling the shop with the irresistible aroma of warm cookies.
Their concept is simple yet genius: they always have a set number of flavors available. Their three standard flavors are Triple Chocolate, White Chocolate, and Milk Chocolate Chip, ensuring there’s always a classic choice for cookie lovers. But what keeps people coming back is their rotating special flavor, which changes regularly. Some of my personal favorites have been Lemon Poppy Seed, Speculoos, Pistachio, and Matcha. These unique flavors make every visit feel like a new experience!
How I Discovered ‘t Keukske
I first stumbled upon ‘t Keukske last summer when a classmate asked me to walk around the city after school. As we wandered through Maastricht’s charming streets, they suggested we grab a cookie from a place they swore had the best in town. Curious, I followed them to ‘t Keukske – and from the first bite, I was hooked. The cookie was thick, slightly crisp on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside. It was everything you want in a cookie and more!
A Word of Advice: Be Quick!
If you’re planning to visit, keep in mind that these cookies are in high demand. Sometimes, when the city is busy, the cookies sell out quickly. In fact, as you can see in one of my photos, I stopped by on a Wednesday around 3 PM when Maastricht wasn’t even particularly crowded, and there were only a few of each flavor left.
The good news? If they have enough stock, they bake fresh batches throughout the day. If you’re lucky, you might just get a warm cookie straight from the oven. And trust me, when they’re warm, they’re next level! Of course, you can also take them home and reheat them, but even cold, they’re absolutely delicious!

I love them so much that I keep coming back. Sometimes after school, I walk past and grab one just because I can’t resist. I’ve even brought some home for my family to try, and they loved them just as much as I do. I’ve also hooked some of my friends on these cookies, and now we make regular trips to ‘t Keukske together.
