Hey! I’m Gwen – aka Bug Girl – a 21-year-old student in Maastricht, the Netherlands. I didn’t grow up jet-setting around the globe, but somewhere along the way I caught the travel bug (pun intended), and now I’m doing everything I can to satisfy my wanderlust on a student budget!
I’m not your typical nature-hiking, tent-pitching kind of traveler (though I’ll try anything once). I’m more of a city trip kind of gal – give me cobblestone streets, cute cafés, local vibes, a cozy hotel bed, and I’m thriving. All-inclusive pool lounging? Fun for like… a day. Then I get antsy and need to go explore.
Bug Girl Adventures is my space to share the chaos, charm, and joy of mid-budget travel – the wins, the fails, and all the little magical moments in between. I love digging into the hidden spots that aren’t always in the guidebooks, and I’m here to show that you don’t need a fancy budget to have unforgettable adventures.
Other things I’m mildly obsessed with: Pedro Pascal (it’s serious), London (I love travelling the UK for some reason), reading books, dancing at concerts and festivals, eating really good food, shopping when I shouldn’t be, and hanging out with my cat, my friends, and my amazing family.
